Price increases after booking confirmation

We booked in December 2021 a club site for 5 nights December 2022. We received a confirmation email quoting the price of £204.

My Booking showed the price confirmed originally, but at some stage has been increased in line with today's advertised prices, to £213.50.

Is that normal policy? To advertise and sell at a price and then raise the price? It doesn't seem fair to me.

Surprising, I know, but it's perfectly possible for someone to pay (say) £100k for their 'LV' and think they've got a great deal, and also to be charged, say, £40 for a pitch and think they've been done.

the two elements are not necessarily linked.

each is weighed up separately and weighed up accordingly.

Others might think a £30k van is outrageous and a £50 club pitch the deal of the century.
