For those who like to share photos, let's see if folk can 'Name that CAMC Site' from your own photos only.  Feel free to add a couple of extra photos to accompany the site photo if you wish, to help folk get the right answer.

I'll start off.....

David

P.S. let's keep this strictly 'on topic'....  For those who wish to resize photos to 500kb... I use the free 'Photo and Picture Resizer' app on my phone... there is a 500kb option...

We love Exeter Racecourse Site, it’s a brilliant location for getting out and about in all directions, and there’s lots to see and do. I held the fastest cycle around the racecourse on Strava for a while, but haven’t been able to get down and defend my title🚴‍♂️🤣 Have a lovely time, most envious😁

I agree about the location, TTDA, but I do think the site could do with a refurb,/rethink!.. Lots of potholes in the roads; 2 x chemical disposal points out of order (--- everyone had to use the point near the motorhome emptying point);  the Service Points are only really places to fill up water - only one waste-water emptying point.  Poor system for late arrivals... If the gate is locked you have to leave the car and caravan at the gate, walk up to reception, collect the information sheet pinned to the door and walk all the way back to the car!   If you are less good at walking, it's a bit of a treck... and if you are a solo caravanner, your van and car could be left at the gate for 10 minutes or so while you do the walk.  Agree with the location though... 😀

....anyway, we moved from Exeter on Sunday to here.. .  Might not be difficult to recognise, but a bit of an awkward angle.  Photo taken from  the front of the caravan (pitch 5).....

I think the Club have only been in partnership with racecourse for around three decades, so there’s still time for improvements🤣 Seriously though, we rather got the impression it was always a stand off between Club and whoever runs racecourse, both unwilling to pay out money. We tend to go into the enclosed heathland area rather than up on the HS pitches by the loos, has the feel of a very big CL. It’s a lovely location when the weather is good, but doesn’t half get the wind and rain at times.

Is your next site Looe? Only guessing, we have only ever used Marazion down in Cornwall, although we do know St Agnes and Godrevy. Stayed on Carnon Downs once, back around 1986. It was ok for a night, but we wouldn’t go back🤣

Kind regards to all I might have missed these last few days, Millie, Debsc……..

...we didn't venture to the enclosed bit, to be honest.  I tend to go for 'open pitches' generally, to avoid tree sap and other tree stuff on the roof of the caravan - besides, we'd already booked a hardstanding.  It looked nice and cosy from a distance....

Not Looe, I'm afraid... we went in a different direction from Exeter...  I'll leave it open for a bit....

Nope.... but, I'll give a clue that might just give the game away......

A Silent Woman lives just down the road from the site....  😀

I was going by the buildings and double barrier, not something the Club builds?

I know where the Silent Woman is, last time I was down that way I stayed at Wareham Forest but I don't think I have been to that site.

There’s another Silent Woman near Tavistock but this one is Hunters Moon. Personally, I much preferred the private site across the road but the location is good.

Yes... it's Hunter's Moon. Wareham.  👍👍

We've stayed at Wareham Forest before, but not at Birchwood.  Wareham Forest is a nice site with a pool.  I remember we had a Serviced Pitch (..what a surprise..!!! )🤣🤣.  The Chemical Disposal point was a long way from our pitch - I put the toilet cassette in the car and drove down!! 🤣🤣

I'll put a other photo up next week (Mon or Tues), when we get go our next site... a lo g way from this one.....

It was Birchwood we stayed at twice. Some of the pitches are fully serviced with their own CDP. Their WiFi worked too😀
