For those who like to share photos, let's see if folk can 'Name that CAMC Site' from your own photos only.  Feel free to add a couple of extra photos to accompany the site photo if you wish, to help folk get the right answer.

I'll start off.....

David

P.S. let's keep this strictly 'on topic'....  For those who wish to resize photos to 500kb... I use the free 'Photo and Picture Resizer' app on my phone... there is a 500kb option...

I agree TTDA, I think the murals/ photos are great, far better than glorious magnoliayell Each site will have different ones. The bonus for us is there will be hardly any decorating to dowink

Definitely one of the Club’s better ideas👍 I do like it when a site reflects the local area, otherwise you could to an extent be anywhere really, so many of the Club’s sites are to a similar pattern. I would like to see greater use of local minerals for topping hardstanding pitches, anything other than the horrible limestone stuff such as at YRP.  I suppose it’s expense though that dictates some things. But the photos are a “trompe”👍🤣

Just found this thread again!!  We're here at the moment   Not the usual sort of site we go for.... not a serviced pitch in sight!!  Just here for a few nights, before moving on to a more familiar place ......  Anyone know where?..... 😀

Spot on Peedee. 🙂  Only here until Sunday... our youngest daughter lives in Exeter, so we are taking the opportunity to meet up.

There are one or two vehicles that look as if they are here pemanently.  Lots of spare pitches, but this may be because it's not a 'normal' CAMC site.  For us, it's a useful stop-over, but I can see the attraction for many.  We decided between here and Putts Corner.  We've been to Putts Corner quite a few times, so we thought we'd have a change.  The site could do with 'upgrading', tbh, but, given that the Club have given up on Uttoxeter Racecourse, it makes me wonder about the future of the racecourse sites.

If you’re happy with a non-facility site, David, I recommend the Stover site just a little further west on the A38 as an alternative. It’s a lovely spot.

I certainly hope that the Club are not thinking of pulling out of using them.   I have stayed at Thirsk and very recently at Warwick and Cheltenham racecourses.  I really liked the Warwick site as it has a large, attractive park next door and is a short walk into town and to the bus station.

Cheltenham racecourse was OK and a very reasonable price, but badly needed the grass cutting.  Rather ironic really in view of the amount of grass on the very large raccourse, all of which was cut very short!

I've wondered about Stover, TW..... we went for the Racecourse as it's closer to Exeter.  I don't mind 'non-facility' sites....  A great non-facility site is Englethwaite Hall.  The difference is that Englethwaite has serviced pitches, but Stover hasn't. 🙂

We love Exeter Racecourse Site, it’s a brilliant location for getting out and about in all directions, and there’s lots to see and do. I held the fastest cycle around the racecourse on Strava for a while, but haven’t been able to get down and defend my title🚴‍♂️🤣 Have a lovely time, most envious😁
