Caravanning, Motorhoming and Camping are wonderful ways to take our dogs on holiday with us. This discussion is a place to share advice about holidaying with your dogs.

Please note, this is not a place to complain about dogs on campsites. We do fully understand that there can be issues and we would request that you please report these to us via our complaints and compliments for Club Campsites (link below) and please do not misuse Club Together as a channel for complaint. By sending via the appropriate channels your complaint will be logged and dealt with appropriately.

If you do post a complaint we will remove it and ask that people do not respond but report to us. Many thanks.

Report a complaint about dogs HERE (please don't post on Club Together).

Thank you everyone and happy touring! smile

It’s a bit like asking which sites are good for families. It depends very much on personal preferences and needs. If it’s ‘facilities’ on site for dogs the we have to appreciate that brings cost into the equation, be it for installation, maintenance or just upkeep like mowing or emptying dog bins. Even those tiny costs these days seem to be significant in the bigger picture.

The wardens were correct in that there is no limit to the number of dogs per unit. However, the dogs in question were causing an annoyance and that is the crux of the matter. The warden failed by not addressing that issue and you therefore have grounds for making a complaint to CAMC as per Ro’s OP. As she said, this thread is not the place to complain.

There is no such thing as a bad Dog. Whereas there are many bad Humans who should never be allowed to own a Dog.

Chatsworth is a popular site for dog owners....I posted on here a couple of years ago that there were more dogs on site than humans and I also maintained a lost opportunity by the club for another source of income....and before anyone says that dog owners would go elsewhere if charged....go where ??.

Unfortunately it is the man that maketh the dog. I’m a dog lover and have witnessed such poor attributes conditioned deliberately into so called pets. Dreadful and so sad to witness.

Dogs are allowed to be bad by the owners. We don’t have Dogs in this country without owners. They are collected & put in a Dog pound. Rehomed(owned) or euthanised👍🏻

Wouldn't it be nice to go back to the days when multiple dog ownership meant those having 2 or 3 dogs. I cannot understand why the CAMC doesn't stipulate a maximum number? How much income would they lose if the number was five this year and four in 10 years time.

Please don't bring children into any response.

I would reply to that post , but feel that I would only be told by some that I don’t know what I’m talking about , so I will leave it to the experts and happily leave this thread , for the time being
