Has anyone else had the latest holiday offer from the Club yet? Email about guided tours, Yorkshire/Kynren and Edinburgh+Tattoo?

There are five day Scottish coach tours for less than half the price.

I was going to say similar as our local ex works pensioner group have a four day coach tour of the North East, fully inclusive for £475 full board but that is per person. So if you double it up it's perhaps not quite so bad as it sounds? Whilst I can understand members wanting that for a first trip abroad I am wondering what sort of demographic it is aimed at here in the UK. I suppose there are those that like everything organised?

I calculated it would still cost less for two, no fuel and inclusive food and accommodation and extra days (starting from Birmingham but other pick up spots available 😉)

Great offering from the club aimed I expect at the many newbies who have joined the club recently and want to tour in the safety of being with others.

Its quite usual when looking at the prices of other types of holiday to think "we could do xyz with the van for the same amount".

Never thought that we would look at a "caravan holiday" and make the same comparison but, as said, maybe there are people to who it will appeal.

Its hard to believe there will be any takers what ever the price. I can understand some wanting a guided tour in a foreign land, but in the UK! Is the spirit of adventure truely dead?

It would seem so. EHU, fully serviced pitches, etc.  It seems CAMC are determined to create a dependent client base who are unable to fend for themselves without 'nanny' to look after them. Experience Freedom - more like a gilded cage.

It won’t attract thousands, but they aren’t looking for thousands. I think they will easily get 12 or 15 couples to travel around in a small comfortable coach - probably those with a large motorhome who know they won’t be able to park in the places the Yorkshire tour will take them.  And next year there will be somilar tours of Devon, Cornwall and Wales.  Money is not a problem for those who buy some of the motorhomes the Club reviews and advertises.

I presume the club has held back pitches in Edinburgh for the dates mentioned as there are no pitches available. Occasionally rallies book pitches but often at reduced prices and they will organise outings for much less outlay.
