We fancied a holiday to either Cornwall or Devon but apparently you can hardly move for TV " Celebrities " or their camera crews. The sooner these people can get back to their normal jobs the better. cool

I once saw Dustin Hoffman and Susan George in Penzance, they were using the launderette!! (Straw Dogs era, but obviously wash your own clothes in those days.)  How things have changed. laughing

A couple of years ago we spoke to Chris Chittell and Lesley Dunlop (Eric Pollard and Brenda Walker - from Emmerdale) at Roskillys on the Lizard.

A few years ago we were also pitched next to Brian Capron (serial killer, Richard Hillman from Corrie) at a site in Buxton.  He was in a show at Buxton Opera House and stayed at the site in his Motorhome.

I've actually quite enjoyed some of the recent spare of celebrity travel programmes, although they are a little 'shallow'.

Cornwall does appear to be very busy at the moment.

Yes, apparently about +25/30% on usual visitor numbers at this time of year and ‘usual’ is too busy for some.

Not a film star but my niece looked out her window the other day to see Prince Charles and entourage outside. They were visiting a housing development on Duchy of Cornwall land.

For Cornwall/Devon read also Wales. Michael Ball, Craig and Bruno, et al the problem is they all visit the same "honey pot" sites.

Whilst in Devon a few weeks ago we went to Hartland Abbey Gardens where they were filming Enid Blyton's 'Mallory Towers' for TV. It was fascinating to see the dozens of vehicles providing lighting, sound, wardrobe etc etc and to see a bit of the filming in front of the Abbey. The only time we were restricted in our movements about the place was if we were likely to be 'in shot'.
