We fancied a holiday to either Cornwall or Devon but apparently you can hardly move for TV " Celebrities " or their camera crews. The sooner these people can get back to their normal jobs the better. cool

I see Paul Merton is taking a UK  motorhome trip, tomorrow's TV and it will be interesting to see where he goes and what he sees. wink

Brue, he will likely do exactly the same things that they all rather boringly do. Same pretty locations, same areas, same startled look on the face as they “find” something that the rest of the UK visited thirty years ago. I do like Paul Merton, hopefully he won’t play quite so safe.

Sorry I did not post in exactly the right section

tinwheeler , do you criticise every post or are you just a bit grumpy .

I responded in the way I did because I couldn’t understand the reason for your post and I was not alone. Grumpy, no, I don’t think so but just wondering what your MO is as it’s a very strange thing to post, especially in UK Sites & Touring🤷🏻‍♂️. There you go, that’s me being logical in the face of incredulity.

As far as I am concerned, the most fantastic creature to be seen off the Devon and Cornwall coast, (and a few more nice places) is Wally the Walrus! Now he is a truly memorable visitor.

So called celebs have always been around in Cornwall, they are like the rest of us, like to visit (and sometimes live) in gorgeous places. I have lost count of how many TV and film stars we have seen or shared a ferry with down the last 30 years or so.

I once saw Dustin Hoffman and Susan George in Penzance, they were using the launderette!! (Straw Dogs era, but obviously wash your own clothes in those days.)  How things have changed. laughing

We walked from Godrevy to Hell's Mouth and back today and didn't see a single celebrity the whole time, although the ice cream man at Godrevy did seem to be attracting a crowd! laughing

We will be in Devon in 3 weeks time for 1 month and i know it will be absolute bliss celebs or no celebs, we did see Chris Packham stalking round the local nature reserve last time we were there, does he count as a celeb laughing

He’s not quite Tom Cruise (most recent A list visitor apparently), but an interesting character in many ways for sure.

It might be too much of the Wild West for him.
