Club reminders for members

Hi

We are older members and find that the Club emailing "the number of sleeps to our next adventure " quite infantile. Ok if you are emailing children but we are not.Guess this a marketing ploy and they have no idea of the age demographics of the members. Perhaps the club needs some "older" marketing members to balance the "children" in the unit. As an aside as an older member I can flip through the club magazine in 5-10 minutes as I cannot afford the cars tested and would not entertain most of the caravans tested. In fact the magazine is hardly worth the paper it is printed on at the moment for older members. Trendy is good in the right area but this is not. Is anyone of the same opinion?

Shouldn’t the club cater for all age ranges in order to be inclusive? In particular, the younger generation is the future so surely should be encouraged and made to feel at home. Hopefully, the days of pompous old stuffed shirts have gone.

Why not do as I did and opt out of the emails? It’s less stressful than getting uptight about them. 👍🏻

Btw, in case you get the wrong idea, I’m a septuagenarian.

I feel we must be missing out (maybe considered not young enough) because I don't recall ever receiving an email from the club using that expression.

I do, however, remember a thread on here where several posters would use the expression - maybe they were from the junior section!

Ooh, only 7 sleeps till our trip to Portugal - best go and start packing ready before I burst with excitement!laughing

ISTR that in the mists of antiquity there was a thread with a similar title to the phrase used.

Somewhere in the caravan and motorhome chat section I think?! It was a popular thread for those about to go on holiday. The rest of us had to sleep a bit longer. wink

Did I really say that? Well, it was back in March so I don't recall, but excellent use of your little black book if it's correct.  Where would we be without it? laughing
