Cancellation reasons

Just cancelled a club site for next week. Entirely due to the fuel situation but not a choice on reason given. Why not add Other and a box to write in?   Came back from holiday on Friday and have 150 miles in tank so unless I can refill this week I won't have enough.  I've seen in the news that nurses, doctors and teachers can't get to work this morning because of the panic buying , I don't want that on my conscience.

We haven't had to worry about fuel thanks to our EV (it takes 8 pints of petrol so no problems there as that lasts for a long time) but our motorhome was half empty and we're off to see the family in the midlands and north east fairly soon. OH went out today (Somerset) our nearest village garage was limiting fuel to £15 and the next two garages a bit further away had a £30 limit (with someone on duty checking!!) We are now filled up at £1.49.9 per litre. It's going to be an expensive trip!

£131.9 here at Sainsbury's

£132.7 at Asda

Our local Esso is £137.9 (but 4p a litre less, with the Fuelpecker fuel card)

.....for those who like (not me!!)  it's £164.9 at the Services at J10 of the M42.... !!  My guess is they've probably got plenty left!!  🤣🤣🤣

Why are you attacking the  BBC ,it has been on all news channels

Posted on 04/10/2021 16:36

As Moulesy kindly said in a response to your post I was not attacking the BBC. The headline was in bold as that was the bit of a post made by Kennexton and I was refuting it.

I suggest you go back to that post to get the fuller picture.

My daughter had to get some petrol at Scotch Corner services, no queues but because her car cannot take this new fangled petrol she had to pay £1.73 a litre!

Luckily for her (but for us) the tax payer will foot the billundecided

Hmm - was thinking of topping up the tank today but as Boris says all will be OK next week then as I have 1/2 a tank I will leave it until next week.

After all, things will be back to normal by then, won't they?laughing

i filled up last night. Seems i got a bargain compared to some reports on here. Why does it always end in .9!

Psychology, 1.9 seems way cheaper than 2.0, in reality it’s 1/10th better, but that’s psychology for you🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, It's a tenth of a penny saving but .1 of a penny saving in 2 pence is actually a twentieth off....even less of a 'bargain'.

anyway, if we bought one litre, how would we pay 129.9p?

The 'classic' £9.99 sounds way better than £10...this time just a saving of a penny, but in the total price it's only a saving of one thousandth of the the price, 999p instead of 1000p.

even better psychologyfrown

Whenever the 2 ladies in the house say they've bought an item they tend to say,for example, £9 when they really mean £9.99. laughing Never fails.
