Booking app on iPad

This has been mentioned several times before but I'm still getting the 'application exception' error on the App on my iPad.

I've downloaded the latest version and it then works for a couple of minutes. It's when I use map view, quite important when looking at specific areas, but it just breaks every time.I use 'show CL data', perhaps the app can't cope with the volume of sites?

im not going to keep 'clearing all my data' as this is a pain when reusing other sites/apps.

looking through the app revisions there's no mention of this issue which has been around for many months (years?).

I assume I'm not the only one with this issue?

this is incredibly frustrating as we are looking at some CLs for a short tour.

please could someone report this thread and bring it to Ro's attention.

thanks.

edit: the same map view with CLs seems to be holding up when using the website rather than the App🤷🏻‍♂️

I am getting a 502 Web Server Error when using my PC (both Firefox and Edge) and my mobile phone (Google).  Thankfully I left a message with the caravan site on Friday night and they called my back and made the booking for me for Saturday but not the best start for my first ever trip away.  I am trying to book for a few days from Wednesday but the same error is coming up,  I will report it in the hope that they can get this sorted out soon.

I don't use the App. I suspect it's as slow as the website, which is really slow to load, but my main gripe is that the club email booking confirmation contains no relevant info in the email header, and if several sites are booked you have to open each email in turn, then open an attachment, then scroll down to the attachment's second page to see which booking they're referring to!

In fact, the whole content of the email makes no reference at all to the booking location, number or date.  It's just a load of boilerplate T&C's.

I take it back....the website is just continually crashing with same error as the App. I'm on an iPad using Safari.

I don't use the app to book (we, generally don't do club sites) but I want to use it to check out CLs so have to have 'include CLs' on. This makes the map look busy and I suspect the problem is there....

unusable as it is. If I'd been a CAMC Site regular I'd be pretty hacked off with this system.

Thanks Nellie, didn't know this existed. I've bookmarked it.

however, there's no reason why the clubs own system shouldn't be able to work without falling over.

Ive had a dabble using the iPhone (for comparison with the iPad) but it's too small to be the go to device....

thanks again.👍

No problem, YT, I think that it is regularly updates so any new CLs are added when they appear on CT or in the magazine.

Here is the link to the post in the CL section, as a sticky.
