Hi

I have due to a change of plan been checking availability at Baltic Wharf to try and get a pitch as a couple of day stop over on way to Devon.

The club system was showing full and remained full for the couple of weeks I was checking, then like magic this morning virtually every day in May was showing availability, strange usually a couple of days pop up but not virtually everyday.

any thoughts!

It seem 4,5 and 6 petrol are exempt but only Euro 6 diesel. Fortunately our engine complies currently, otherwise there would be another £18 to add to the cost of our stay.

That is currently as we are in the Christmas / New Year peak. £38.60 all of February and most of January. Still a fair bit, but then they seem able to fill it. I don’t think we have been there any time of the year from Winter to August peak, when it hasn’t been full are almost so. Although I expect this Christmas / New year might be an exception given the late decision and the apparent lack of any promotion.

Steve, its attraction is its location and, with only 55 pitches, it's likely any campsite in the same place would sell out.

however, IMHO £47 is a taking the Michael....

I wonder how much of a visitor downturn these cities will see, particularly that the zones appear to spread quite a way out from city centres.

Watch out for the CAZ (clean air zone) which now affects this area. Euro engines 4,5 and 6 are ok, earlier engines will be charged £9  for each journey depending on vehicle type.

Just checked on the Government web site and it says I will be charged £100 per day in the Bristol zone for my Euro 5 diesel motorhome. No charge for my tow car. That is Abbey Wood and Baltic Wharf kicked into touch even if I was willing to pay the site price.

I presume if anyone books they'll get a CAZ reminder from the club but it will probably be through a link that some might miss. frown

Is that because it's hgv rated? My Boxer based Auto-sleeper is £9 , it's  2010 registered . My little Kia Venga , also 2010 and diesel is also £9.
