Hi

I have due to a change of plan been checking availability at Baltic Wharf to try and get a pitch as a couple of day stop over on way to Devon.

The club system was showing full and remained full for the couple of weeks I was checking, then like magic this morning virtually every day in May was showing availability, strange usually a couple of days pop up but not virtually everyday.

any thoughts!

Thanks PD all booked. I had been checking regularly as we want to visit an elderly relative. As it was supposed to close this Monday, I had given up hope of another extension. They left it late this time.

Yes they do seem to be milking it, although it is popular so I can understand that. We need access to buses out of Bristol the other way this visit, (nowhere to park MH where we are going) but Oakham farm looks good for access to Portishead, which we also visit periodically and would be ideal for that.

I note the price of BW goes up to £42 per night in mid March, perhaps that is Easter Term end?

Oakham is on a bus route but no idea what the service is like. It is co-locate with a fantasitc museum which has a cafe. I usually have the tow car with me but for the saving you may well be able to use a taxi and still save?

A quick check on Google Maps shows the stop outside the site is on Stagecoach's route 59 which looks like a 2 hourly service between Nailsea and Portishead. For Bristol you would have to travel towards Nailsea, alight at Tyntesfield NT and change to the X6 service to Bristol.

Watch out for the CAZ (clean air zone) which now affects this area. Euro engines 4,5 and 6 are ok, earlier engines will be charged £9  for each journey depending on vehicle type.
