Having just read yet another disappointing review of an AS ( this time Grant own on Spey) it left me wondering just why the club continues with this system. There seem to have been so many reviews recently mentioning substandard pitches and facilities along with poor behaviour by other guests and minimal compensation in the way of reduced fees.
So who benefits from the system? Seemingly not the club or individual members. Do the AS sites themselves gain any kudos by being associated with the club? Anyone got examples of really good experiences on an AS or benefits from using them?
We've never stayed on one as far as I can remember so it'd be interesting to hear other's experiences, good or bad.
