This is just wrong

I have just looked at the new CLs for this month.  There is one in wales called Good Life, in the write up on the cl page it states £12 P/N + 2 adults, and then looked at their web page it states from £15 per night.  i just think that either the club or CL owner need to polish up their act, it is so miss leading.

The CL section of the CC website, when putting in Good Life brings up the CL and has this:

  • From until
£12 per Pitch with EHU + 2 adults

Please note this is the minimum you can expect to pay and pitch fees may be subject to variation - please check direct with the site before booking. This is also a good opportunity to check the availability of specific facilities to suit any special requirements you or a member of your party may have.

Accepted payment method(s): Cash, Cheque

Deposit required: £10

Booking deposit required Paypal accepted

Please contact the CL direct to book

Like most CL details it has the caveat of the minimum.

I would much prefer the website to list the MAXIMUM, as giving a minimum tells us nothing at all.

Couldn't agree with you more.

All CLs operate a "prices from...." policy. They have too because the Handbook is only published and distributed bi annually. There are also a few that fail to update prices in the handbook, and at times on their own websites. It is always best to confirm the price either by email are phoning prior to booking, especially if it is a CL you haven't used before. We always do this and haven't had any problems.

How come they don't just give the price, like you would get on any other web site that is selling things?

It's a new CL. If the price shown on the CC website is £3 less than the actual price for a brand new CL then there's little point even putting an indication of price on the website at all.

I have just been looking through some of the details for new CLs. There are one or two shall we say strange/ misleading details on one or two of them, but no doubt the owners will possibly look at amendments as they respond to what visitors prefer. A no arrivals before 3pm, and off site by 10am, isn't likely to attract many weekend visitors, but then again, that may be why it has been done that way, to attract more long stayers. Some interesting and nice additions though.

Because the books are only publisher every two years as already suggested....nearly all other sales/prices, and for most products, can be updated every day......even on Sundays!!!

Its my biggest grouse with CL - prices nothing like those indicated not only in the book but on their web site. In this case for a new CL the differences shown are scandalous and will not even get updated in my book. All Cl owners should be upfront with pricing or risk being ignored.
