Price rise

Is it just me or has the price of cl's gone up lots this year? They all seem to be £15 a night for a basic grass pitch with electric. Looks like the cheap £10 a night days are long gone sadly.

I have removed a series of posts which could very well be considered inflammatory.  Please always consider other people's feelings when making posts, so as to keep within the guidelines of using Club Together.

Thank you, in anticipation for your understanding.

We have found ourselves using Cs less. There are other options out there now at better prices giving all we need. I think they are killing the golden goose. Maybe get a lot at peak but they restrict their season.

I would not pay more than 15 quid per night .

The more members demand, and expect the more expensive they will come .

Wye, demand?, I don't demand anythingsmile I look for-Showers, wifi, EHU & if those are on a CL in the area I want to be then I pay the rate that is set by the owner. A good price for a good service. I never expect a CL owner to run a charitable foundation.

We go to the Lleyn Peninsular regularly and used Cls in Aberdaron/Abersoch Area. Now they are £15+ even for non EHU. Now use Haven and available for £10/11 off peak with full Euro Pitch, superb toilet block. Better than most CC we use. Cls seem to be pricing themselves out of the market. Its their choice of course.

I don't think many people realise what it takes to run a CL and I think £15 is reasonable if the site warrants it with the services it provides.  Most Members I know use CL's all the while and are very happy with the prices and think we are lucky that Farmers, Pub Owners and other Landowners provide this Service for us.  Long Live the CL's.

Although I no longer tend to use CLs Dianne I would have thought that you are correct.

Its the "off peak" prices of some holiday camps that are of course  used by the older generation with more disposible income,  that can take advantage of those loss leaders,  that have then to be paid for with the eye watering prices at peak times,  by the younger generations with children who do not have the option,

But then Haven seem to be closing touring pitches, as i note they are no longer available at Rockley Park

Could it be that folk are looking for more facilities and security, even on CL's.  Is this having an effect on prices?
