Hi all

Looking for a CL for June this year in the Woolacombe, North Devon area.   I'm sure I saw a recent posting where someone either owned or had been to one and it had a good recommendation but despite using the search facilitiy I can't seem to find the thread. 

Therefore, does anyone have any recommendations for this area, would like to be near to the coast and also any cycling routes as we usually take our bikes. 

Alternatively, does anyone have any experience of the CMC sites in that area.   I notice the Ilfracombe one doesn't have toilets, which doesn't bother us.    We only need hook up as use our van facilities.

 Hi all

Thanks for the suggestions, some look really lovely - been spoilt for choice.   However, we've decided to choose The Barton as the attraction of the nearby Tarka Trail appeals to our interests.

Look out Devon,here we come in June.

We stayed at Damage Barton last April. Stunning views. Lovely walks. Beautiful new shower block completed not long before we stayed there. There were 2 shower blocks on site the other was a little 'tired' but both were kept very clean.

Some one said earlier that the site being exposed can get windy. So presumably, "Brace yourself"

Possiblly but we're going to The Barton CL, not Damage Barton CMC site. wink

I've got The Barton on my list so I'm guessing Harryb is right as the Damage Barton area can be very windy. All ok then? wink

Shame you need hookup Moonstone- if you didn’t there is a nice quiet site at Welcombe. Not far from Bude. Near the sea and lovely walks.
