Hi all

Looking for a CL for June this year in the Woolacombe, North Devon area.   I'm sure I saw a recent posting where someone either owned or had been to one and it had a good recommendation but despite using the search facilitiy I can't seem to find the thread.

Therefore, does anyone have any recommendations for this area, would like to be near to the coast and also any cycling routes as we usually take our bikes.

Alternatively, does anyone have any experience of the CMC sites in that area.   I notice the Ilfracombe one doesn't have toilets, which doesn't bother us.    We only need hook up as use our van facilities.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Nellie

As it was tried in the run up to Christmas and then Christmas/New Year break it hasn't actually been followed up on yet regarding moving forward or not with it....we are all just getting back into our stride.  I'm sure something will be posted on here before too long.smile

Thanks, Nicola. I'll be keeping my eyes open for that.

Hallsdown Farm is definitely worth visiting, everything a CL should be.

Would love to visit there but they don't allow dogs.....which will, of course, appeal to others no doubt.

We have used Hallsdown Farm a couple of times and found the location and facilities very good.

Hi Moonstone, my wife and I have a CL in North Devon we are situated five miles from Combe Martin on the edge of Exmoor National Park. We are approx half an hours drive from Woolacombe.

We are an adults only site and we do not accept dogs. Our hardstanding pitches are serviced with individual tap and grey water drain and we have a toilet but no shower, £14 a night.

Thanks for reading

Will second this.

Stayed here a few months ago. Seek out the cl and read my site report.

Although not Woolacombe the location is good being central for Exemoor and the coastal are. I'm not sure I would like to ride a bike along some of the narrow lanes though.

Thanks all - much appreciated.   I'd already seen The Barton and it looks nice, so a consideration.   Might do a bit more research before booking.

Any more suggestions still welcome.

We have been to Hallsdown Farm and say it is among the best CL sites we have enjoyed.  However, it is remote and the roads are not easy.  That is the reality of North Devon.
