Monthly CL Opened List

In a few other discussions it has been asked if there is a way to see what new sites have opened recently.

All new CL sites are published in the monthly magazines, but these can appear a couple of months after the site has been opened.

I thought that it would be beneficial for all members and CL owners if we posted a list once a month of all CL sites opened the previous month.

We do already have the following discussion board for New CL owners to advertise their sites here, and I would encourage new CL owners to continue to post on that discussion as well.

I hope this will be of some use for you all.

Thanks

Maddie (and the CL team)

Hi All

Please see below the sites opened and closed in September, sorry for my lack of replies lately we have been very busy getting the CL information ready for next sites directory.

This has meant that the number of sites opened in September is small and a we have had a large number of closures.

We do find a high number of closures around reprinting the sites directory but we are still getting lots of applications for new CL site and have many due to be opening in the coming months.

These are listed as County - Listing Town - CL site

Thanks Johnny, I have found it now. Funny that last night it wasn't coming up. Red House had been closed for a while and then reopened but although Maddie says it is closed as you say it's still showing as open...another strange one.

Hi Nellie

Sorry for not replying sooner, Red House is closed, it looks like this one slipped through the net to be removed from the website. I have requested this is taken down as soon as possible.

This may still be the case for some of the September closures as the team has been focusing on the Directory but they will be removed asap.

Thanks

Maddie

Hi Maddie, I've just been through your latest list and noticed that you have Brancroft Farm, Oswestery under Shrewsbury when it is actually in Shropshire!!

Thanks Nellie, I have made the amendments.

The numbers of closures is very high this month which was to be expected when doing the new sites directory. Many CL owners take this opportunity to decide if they want to continue with their site and be in the book for another 2 years. Although they can close at any time it is often a trigger for high closures.

As mentioned in my previous post, we still have many new CL sites currently going through works to get up and running and lots of applications are still coming in.

Thanks

Maddie

Question for Maddie.

We are due to receive our new site handbook early in the New Year. Can you tell me when the cut off for including new CLs (and deleting closed ones) was please. In other words at which point do we need to start updating the new book from the information that either you notify us of or that we read in the magazine?

Good point WN.

Being a bit of a CL anorak, what I do is compare the CLs listed in the new book to those in the old one, including the changes I've made throughout the 2 years since it's issue, while I'm highlighting the facilities that I'm interested in and adding recommendation notes.....Keeps me out of trouble for a while.wink
