Is this a sad sign of the times

Items get stolen everywhere,why should a camp site be any different, it’s just a fact of life 

Several years ago a friend, new to caravanning, collected a brand new caravan from the dealer and joined us on a nearby site for their trial run.

Everything went smoothly until day 3.

"The taps have stopped working"

Pump on? Yes

Check water in aquaroll?

Yes but the whale pump is dirty and worn

Yes: Overnight someone had stolen the new pump and replaced it with their "knackered" one.

Expensive trip back to the dealer to purchase replacement pump.

I well remember a former Head of mine relating a story of having a very expensive watch stolen whilst on a course - at a theological college! Beat that!
