Caravan parts

Hi all.

I'm new to the discussions and only just made myself a member of the caravan club again after 12 years away from caravanning.

I have just bought a Eccles Jewel 2011 and need parts, is it just me or do the dealers have it all stitched up?! Just like car dealers did many years ago with servicing a new car.

I'm looking to source a new wheel drum, I found a nut had sheared off in it and other threads were damaged. Part number 581329.

I am also looking for a rear light, I have seen a new one at £129, that seems expensive to me.

Lastly were can I get carpets from to suit the van?

I'm in Bolton, Manchester and also looking for second-hand accessories for the van

Cheers

Try your local carpet shop for replacement carpets. We had some made from an off cut. They used the old carpet pieces as templates, cut and whipped the edges from the off cut and the total price was £50.

Google is your friend for replacement parts.

Carpet patterns.

Making patterns for pretty well anything is greatly aided as follows. Obtain some clear, thick polythene. Cut it to approximately the size you want, but oversize. Place it on the floor in your case. Holding it in place use a permanent marker pen to create your outline. Cut out the profile and try it in place. Cut off excess if any, tape bits on if you’ve cut undersize. As taught to me by a pattern maker.

Thanks Jennyc. That will help with the carpets.

The Alko drum is harder, there are lots of them. Mine is cast No. 581329. I just need to find out if mine is a 112mm or 140mm PCD.

A found the Jokon light, it was £129!
