Caravan parts

Hi all.

I'm new to the discussions and only just made myself a member of the caravan club again after 12 years away from caravanning.

I have just bought a Eccles Jewel 2011 and need parts, is it just me or do the dealers have it all stitched up?! Just like car dealers did many years ago with servicing a new car.

I'm looking to source a new wheel drum, I found a nut had sheared off in it and other threads were damaged. Part number 581329.

I am also looking for a rear light, I have seen a new one at £129, that seems expensive to me.

Lastly were can I get carpets from to suit the van?

I'm in Bolton, Manchester and also looking for second-hand accessories for the van

Cheers

I am still looking for my last item. A 15" alloy wheel for my Stirling  Eccles jewel 2011. 5 studs, 112PCD.

Any Ideas where I my get one folks?

Tony

I just email them. I did enter the details into a site that links to lots of beakers last week but had no luck.

Thanks Tinwheeler

No problem.

He's very helpful and will supply pics before you buy. We’ve bought from him twice and the stuff was delivered as promised and was as described both times. He tends to deal with email in the evenings.

We decided to put additional carpets in our van so brought off cuts from carpet right, had them stitched etc and they fit perfectly for a price of about £14.

Hi Tony

Have you tried O'learys? They have a lot of used parts and are in the know regarding older vans.

As DD says above, Leisureshop direct in north Devon are very helpful and maybe know a source?

I got a new alloy wheel at last, well went for 2 matching ones £110 each with tyres and my Tyron bands fitted. Swift wanted £650 just for one wheel and an 8 week waiting list. My supplier could of got an perfect match from the factory in Birmingham for £110 but Swift run a cartel ripping off caravaners, the factory can only sell to Swift that in turn sell them on for a 600% profit! Rip off Swift! Rip off Britain!

If this was happening with cars questions would be asked in parliament.

everything is expensive for caravans. needed a new monobloc tap for the bathroom and was quoted over £100 with a 10/12 week wait. bought one from Victoria Plumb for less than 50 quid. 10 mins to fit and test.
