Hi Folks, going to purchase an awning shortly. I like the Dorema Daytona and see it comes as a standard pole version and an Air supported version. The Air version is £700 more expensive than the poles version.

Is it worth the money? In fact are any Air awnings worth the money?

I think you are missing the point When I said I had gone back to poles after he said he didn’t know anyone who had gone back to poles I got the reply good for you. The other stuff only came later after I remonstrated.

No, DT, I’m not missing the point at all. I'm afraid you have completely got the wrong end of the stick and I can only refer you to my last post.

I'm sure you didn’t deliberately set out to unjustly accuse anyone of sarcasm.

Anyway, it’s not my issue. I was curious as to what you considered to be sarcasm and I hope I’ve been able to explain the misunderstanding.

it seems there are 'votes' for both sides here, but what is interesting is that no one who has used an air awning said they will go back to poles, the opposite in fact.

At the end of the day it is what will suit you and what you will be happy using RR. If you could get some experience of using both that would certainly help.

We had an air awning which we personally didn't get on with, so we sold it and bought a second hand Kampa poled awning. They are not for everyone.wink

DT, I’ve read all the interactions concerning you several times and can see no sarcasm.

What on earth do you find sarcastic or uncalled for in "Good for you"? I read that as the writer saying he's happy that you’ve found what suits you best. Goodness, It’s almost congratulatory.

I think you’re seeing demons where none exist. 😕

As far as I am concerned TW  the accusation was not unjust and I am convinced it was sarcasm at the time.

Ah, well. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I don’t know about you but I'm going to let the thread continue on topic without jumping to wrong conclusions about innocent posts.

Why not just let it go Dave? If somebody tells me that a slight was unintentional I simply give them the benefit of the doubt and move on. Am I too Easy? wink
