Have another look R2B.  You will find that it is mostly those claiming to be caravanners that are doing all the moaning wink.

And I bet most of those caravanners leave the caps on their waste outlets open (as I used to do) to drain the little bit of grey water left in their pipes as they pull off their pitch to leave the site.

Pot, kettle and black

Most, or should I say, nearly all, are guilty of dropping a little grey water.

It was a Moho owner who started the thread, have you included that poster in the ‘anti Moho’ group?. I see no anti Moho posts, I do see the same old same old from the usual posters from both sides crying out my LV is better than your LV. It’s good to see the loyalty to CT from members around Europe posting in good weather & badπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š

It was but he was talking about dumping on public highways.  As usual the thread has "developed".

Sticking to the OP I see no harm in dumping on the highway.  In fact I consider I'm performing a service.  IMHO our lightly soapy water helps wash the dropping from cattle truck and other mucky vehicles off the roads.  If I'm feeling really kind and I have a tugger behind a quick dump of a gallon or two helps him by rinsing some of the muck from his car and van.  I don't expect thanks or charge for the clean but I have had a vigorous wave or two in the past.  winklaughinglaughinglaughing

I agree with you, when I had a C/van on the last day I’d empty everything into the grey waste, then leave the waste flaps open to get the pipes shaken cleanπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š

The service points are so badly designed they are not fit for purpose.

I agree they should be better, but while we were away this week I've seen motorhomes discharging more grey water over the road than down any of the 3 grids ..... being very dry & sunny, it emphasised where it had actually drained  to ie none down where it should have gone.

If motor caravaners cannot get their waste water to drain into the sloping sumps of the latest costs incurred by the CC and maybe other organisations that are immune from the critics undecided then it just goes to prove that not only are waste outlets on motor caravans not fit for purpose but the users of such vehicles also need some training no matter where the outlet  on the vehicle is positioned wink

TG

That doesn't sound like a refurbished motorhome point to me. They should look something like this. To answer BB points whilst some points are outside the toilet block, I imagine because that is where the main drains are on some sites they are in completely separate locations. the one below is at Brecon and the new one a Seacroft is in a similar situation.

Not refurbished  David, completely new. It used to be outside the shower block as so many are, when they refurbished the shower block they totally moved the mhsp to just outside the barrier opposite the reception. Would have been so much easier to make a central drive over grid running across the middle of the area. Our waste water tap is halfway down the mh so to position it over one of these manhole covers requires you to drive over it first if the area is not generous.

Just back from Brecon. The new M/H point is good and easy to use. This is a rarity though
