Afternoon all,

Considering buying a Burstner Marano. Only issue is door on wrong side. Will this cause issues on club sites?

Regards

Steve

No, not at all, depending on the pitch mind it may just be courteous to drive in to the peg but that can be a good thing anyway depending on the slope of the pitch. Best to ask for clarification if you want to pitch differently to the pitching diagram on the site map hand out at arrival though but we all do that don't we!wink

No issues at all, Steve.

The pitching rules, in most circumstances, are your choice of either offside rear corner or nearside front corner to the peg so vans can pitch either way around.

Many thanks for the replies.

Have had a caravan for 20 years-so all this is a bit new!

Kind regards

Steve

But it’s only on the right side if you’re inside facing the front.😛

All the best ones have the door on the wrong side .. Just park the wrong way round or head for France / Spain where they all have the doors on the right side.

Car drivers get out on the same 'wrong side'. You do come hear stories of people getting annoyed if the van parked next to them  is on the 'wrong side' but as the number of foreign motorhomes increases, it is much less of a problem. I've had three wrong sided vans over the last 18 years and nobody has ever said anything to me.

One thing to check is that you can see the road behind when you are at the door eg through your wing mirrors so you exit safely with knowledge rather than a wing and a prayer.

Simple advice is often the best and I am certainly simple. wink

'Don't worry' is my advice.
