hi there just a question to the club in general which is being asked by many RV owners. Is the club anti RV,s.because of the length restrictions on many sites now we cannot use them, but before the restrictions i have used some of those sites with an RV,which would suggest it is the clubs way of saying that they are not RV freindly.thanks and regards brian

We were staying at Clumber Park  when there were two big RVs near us and were deciding which route they were going to take to the next site it was quite am "interesting" on the ear how they were trying to find a way that did not involve B roads to Park Coppice sitesurprised

We had this concord next to us, maybe not as big as some but I think they might struggle on some club sites

If they read the site information it usually states the max size it can accomodate,  and any one with any sense i would have expected a call to the site a few days before would ensure a suitable pitch was "made available"

Have travelled into PC on a number of occasions following large coaches and huge quarry trucks negotiating the road in and past the very entrance. If they can do it on a regular basis so can that RV. It's just a couple of pinch points on route you need to be aware of!

We have been to PC several times, once when it was closed, great time in the snow and watching the red squirrels out of accomodation window,, our c/van was plugged into boiler room electrics on hardstand and very cost effective stay it wascool

The road is not for the "faint hearted" RVerssurprised

We have travelled to PC  several  times and do know that the route could be a challenge for some RVers, the best visit we had was one winter in the snow watching the Red squirrels playing outside the site accomodation ,our caravan was plugged into the the boiler room electrics ,it was one of the most "cost effective" stays we hadcool

I  wondered  what  you  have  now  JK,  since,  at  another  South-West  site,  the  Lady  Warden  told  me  she  had  got  your  old  one  !!  Must  seem  a  tad  cramped  in  the  AutoCruise,  unless  you've  swapped  that  as  well winkcool ??

Hi there ABM

You're quite correct in what you say. The lady warden on the site you visited has indeed bought our American rv. We now have a new one on the same site in Spain. Never sharing me Autocruise  though, that's our touring van and cosy enough for two (only!!!)wink
