can anyone recommend a cl site near the Portsmouth ferry.

Depending on the time of day, day of the week and season Morn Hill into Portsmouth can be a very delayed journey. For the few miles involved, on occasions, the traffic needs to be seen to be believed. Cutting the corner off by leaving the M3 at J11 following Marwell zoo brown signs [B3335 & B2177] and on through Bishops Waltham and Wickham to join M27 at J 10, whilst slower road when things are "good" can save time when they are not.

If you are talking busy times, stay nearer would be the advice of most locals.
