Great Savings Guide - again

Earlier this week I spent 20+ minutes listening to the CAMC's lovely "musak" while I waited for someone from the Club shop extension to be free to answer the phone. (Not blaming them for being busy!).

My request was for a hard copy of the Great Savings Guide which was readily granted and the book deivered today, so it is obvious that there are plenty in stock to send to members on request.

BUT....why is there not a link on the GSG webpage so that members can simply click on it to order a copy and therefore save themselves the dreaded "musak" and at the same time free up hard pressed staff to deal with other matters more quickly?

Have ordered it again, hopefully we get the correct thing this time.

Checked  my previous confirmation e mail, it confirmed that I did indeed order the Great Savings Guide.  As it does this time.

Will report back on what comes this time.

If we do not get the correct thing this time, it will soon be too late for our trip.

That did not come out too well......envelope arrived today containing not what I had ordered, but an abbreviated UK sites guide!

Suppose I better try again.

Maybe all the Guides have been sent out and they thought that you wouldn't notice the difference.wink

Hope you get the correct one this time Kjell. I ordered mine the day before you did last time, but as we're away I've no idea of what they've sent me! Not hopeful now, especially the way the club's going.

Unless I am missing something ET that is only to the online version. I think what is annoying folk is the lack of a link to order a copy. Last year this was possible and took a few seconds. This year it would seem you have to write an email or make a phone call.

That's progress I suppose. Although not the sort that is likely to attract the younger caravaner, that is used to using e vouchers. If they want to wean people off the book, they need to negotiate with the companies that are in it to accept these. Having to print one off is so old school. 😇

From the link just click on "Great Savings Guide", to order hard copy.

Thanks Vulcan, I did that once they linked it. When I posted my comment the link was not active. I assume the fact folk were phoning / chatting to order made them realise their mistake.

2nd envelope arrived today.......this time it did contain the Great  Savings Guide.

Hopefully we can make use of a few of the offers, but have still to get time to study it.
