Grave thoughts

I picked up the magazine from the doormat to include with the other trash on my way out to the recycle bin this morning and it didn't cheer me to see an enclosed flyer staring at me from within the plastic bag telling me I should be making funeral plans.

Proof, if needed, of the predominanty geratric membership. Undecided

I always have a look through it and read the bits that interest me.

But, I feel left out at the moment as we haven't received ours yet Sad

So  i'll  have  to  take  a  couple  of  bits  of  "Plastic"  or  a  wallet  full  of  folding  stuff  in  case  some  CT  members  recognise  me Innocent

I normally just add the magazine to the recycling pile as soon as it arrives as I prefer to selectively read the on-line version.   However this month I, in the interests of comparison, had a browse through the paper version.

What did I find..  Pages and pages and pages of advertising. with virtually nothing of any interest in between.  Yes I know that the on- line version also has wall to wall adverts , but somehow they are not so in your face and can, to a degree, be avoided.

As soon as the CC offer a discount on the annual fees for those not wanting to receive the paper magazine I will stop them sending it out. Meantime I will resume the time honoured practice of dumping the CC advertising catalogue, otherwise known as the monthly mag, straight into the recycle bin.

Well I must have the best travelled copy. Mine arrived about ten minutes before we departed for the airport to fly to New Zealand via Singapore so i took it for some in flight reading and the crossword. \\\\\\\\\\\currently it's with me in Singapore. It will probably go to New Zealand as well as I have not had time to finish the crossword. I'll beofre someone else does, I know it's sad.

Not much chance of that unless you really do look like the Spitting Image version of John Major. Wink
