Does any one know if the CC use an internal team to offer legal advice or an external organisation?  If internal, does their legal team have qualified lawyer or solicitor on the team who can answer consumer questions and offer help?  How much legal advice can they offer and how far along the process can they take you or do you forget about the CC legal and go straight to a solicitor if you have a problem with a dealership for instance?

As  iI understand it the service is like most of these telephone advice services bought in by the provider i.e. the club from a commercial firm. In general these people should be qualified lawyers but without knowing who the firm is here I cannot say to what level. I have met some providers and they were qualified as solicitors but they are well down the legal pay scales.

The advice should be sound though on the more common problems as they deal with these all the time and doing the clubs work consumer law is going to be their expertise.

The only problem with making formal complaints is that the complainant has to be squeaky clean & innocent of the very thing they are complaining about. I'm afraid there are very few innocents on Forums. It usually becomes tit-for-tat digs, 'joint guilt'Sad

Don't you need to be a real person rather than an anonymous username on a forum to have a case?
