Haha, got one the other day when out food shopping. Classic cars, OH will like that.smile

I like to hang it on our notice board so it can't be to big, I also like to mark appointments on it, silly really as I rarely look at it.

OH, marks bin nights and which one to go out.

Our LA gives every household in the borough a "Calendar" with all the different bin pickup days  for your area

Our LA sends me a text at precisely 4pm on the day before a bin collection is due and specifies which bin! Very handy. Ros still insists on marking her diary for every bin collection for the full year, though. Don't know why, other than if it isn't in her diary, it doesn't existundecided

Herzberg's Hygiene Theory applied to Club Membership and Calendars! I knew that I would be able to use that learning one day, and it's taken 13 years after I retired for it to come in useful ... smile

But doesn't that argue against Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs?

Cheers, WN, I'll keep my eyes open for their sale, as I'm short of tee shirts, although I done think OH thinks so.wink

Perhaps CS would like this one. https://www.cycologygear.co.uk/products/bike-maths-mens-navy-tshirt?refSrc=405051080745&nosto=productpage-nosto-1

The CCC had 800 calendars to give away. But members had to enter a competition in order to be in the hat for a freebie. The 12 photos are from members and each of these received a £20 voucher. I understand that there were 3000 entries for the calendars, so a fair chance of winning one!

Not as far as I'm aware, they're overlapping, rather than competing. Maslow was concerned with the Individual's Needs, peaking at 'Self Actualisation, whereas Herzberg looked at the Motivation Factors for the Individual at work, and the 'Hygiene' elements that focus upon the conditions and items that we expect to be present, and go unnoticed, until they disappear and that causes demotivation. The Calendar and/or Diary was used by the Lecturer to illustrate the point; 'Nobody values the cheapo damn Diary from work, but take it away and see what happens, you'd think a World War had broken out' is as near verbatim as I can recall his words

That's possibly why 'Hot Desking' proved so [un]popular for employees, despite the obvious organisational benefits for the employer. 'He leaves 'MY' Desk in a mess, and he's pinched my Ruler' etc. These disputes needed a referee, long before the availability of VAR and pitchside monitors ... laughing
