Looking through the April magazine i noticed the club are running pop up sites i was very interested until i saw the  price £36/£38 per night for a unit and 2 adults including electrics, temporary holiday site with the caravan camping club from £7 /£12 per night for unit and 2 adults if you want EHC it is usually £3 extra if available.  CAMC come on get real

If the EHU is anything like the National you'll be treated to 6amp from lovely smelly, noisy diesel generators going 24 hours a day! Good luck if you are unlucky enough to be pitched near one.

We can stay on C&CC THS's, rallies etc with a much greater choice of venue for less than a third of the cost per night.

So no, we won't be going and paying these rip off prices!

Presumably the club's Pop up Sites are run by paid employees whereas the CCC THS's are run by volunteers hence the cost difference?

Thinking back to our early days holiday rallies were very popular and excellent value, again run voluntarily.

Anything like the National it will be reliant on volunteers for setting up etc

Yes the national is reliant on volunteers most likely drawn from the many club centres that also organise weekend rallies voluntarily.

I don't know if the club's Pop up sites are run by volunteers but I suspect not looking at the price.

CCC THS sites I know are run voluntarily which could explain the difference in price.

Also THS sites are quite often run on a "Meet/ rally" type of arrangement  on a field rather that a "club site"  some are also on commercial sites with hookup etc.

Maybe CMC is offering closer to a "club site" arrangement.
