Looking through the April magazine i noticed the club are running pop up sites i was very interested until i saw the  price £36/£38 per night for a unit and 2 adults including electrics, temporary holiday site with the caravan camping club from £7 /£12 per night for unit and 2 adults if you want EHC it is usually £3 extra if available.  CAMC come on get real

I too saw the price and winced - at that time of year I don't even need electric, just somewhere to empty waste and occasionally replenish water.

If Camping-Car Park in France can provide fixed barrier controlled sites with hardstanding, water, waste and wifi, all for 10-15€ a night, what on earth costs CMC so much ?

I will be giving them a miss.

Looking at the prices of the two other very popular club sites in the area of Beaulieu estate for similar dates it could be quite popular for the pricesurprised

I am quite interested in the Beaulieu one, donkeys years since I have been there.

As to cost, yes it does seem to be a bit on the highside but we obviously don't know what the costs are for setting up such a site given that they temporarily lay on electrics (especially 16 amps!) and toilets/showers. I remember checking out Whittlebury Park for the Grand Prix at Silverstone, £295 (Tuesday-Monday) including electrics?

Looks like it does include the members discount Viatorem.

Had a quick look and 2 adults and 2 over 5y.o. children at Beaulieu for a week would cost out at £307. Suppose it might be what people having a holiday with school aged children would expect in July.

Good luck to them.

I will stick to going to Beaulieu on a rally with another group.  £11 per night per unit last time but may be £12 this year.

I suppose we do have to keep the 4th Baron Montague in the manner to which he is accustomed. All those vintage cars must cost a bob or two to acquire.

Notwithstanding the above, it is a bit eye-watering for a temp site.

Both Clubs have held rallies there and prices have been nothing like those for the pop up site. I won't be rushing to book.

Presumably the club's Pop up Sites are run by paid employees whereas the CCC THS's are run by volunteers hence the cost difference?

Thinking back to our early days holiday rallies were very popular and excellent value, again run voluntarily.
