Membership Fee Increase

The club magazine arrived today. So far I've had a quite flick through 😉. Tucked in there is notice of an increase in membership fees from £49 to £51 on 15 December 2017. If you want to add family members (is that children?) another £8 no increase for 4th year running.

Have just rejoined the friendly club, with paper magazines and site book £44 - less £38 for digital.

That's quite a big difference between the 2 clubs 😲. I suppose the cost of name change and subsequent signs etc has to be recouped through membership fees as well as pitch increases?

We will continue to belong while CL use suits us, there isn't a club site in our county.....

I have no idea of other insurance companies but would expect that, like CC insurance, it is a requirement that the caravan is regularly serviced in the same way that for house insurance central heating should be regularly serviced/inspected.

I've come late to this thread and haven't read each post cos I got lost  completely and don't understand what have brake shoes, servicing and van MOT's got to do with membership fees.  I don't object to the increase in club fees but would object as long as it is spent wisely for the benefit of members.  When that doesn't happen is the time to consider the future.

My window cleaner charges £10 once a month. If he increased his charge by 50p or £1 I would not look elsewhere.

If my insurances was £20 dearer than the next company I would not change.

The reason is that, for me, such increases are trivial in the overall scheme of things. Again, for me, effectively less than 2.5p a night on site fees.

The club has put its pice up to equivalent to one pound a week .                Exept it or not the club won't Chang it's mind.

yes, I think it's good value but everyone has to make up their own mind. It's not like you are forced to join.
