Out and about yesterday and we saw our first new C&MC CL Sign.  We also saw one of the old ones.

Contrary to what people have said the new sign showed up a lot better against the green countryside and was easy to spot compared to the old one.

The CL we were on last week had the old signs out on the roadside and the new one discretely tucked away on the gatepost at the entrance. When I mentioned it the owner explained the new signs were a different size and wouldn't fit on the old backing boards! wink

The ones we managed to spot on Anglesey recently we thought drab and no where near as spotable as the old sign. and we could compare as some CLs had old and new at the entrance.

Seen both old and new at various sites stopped at this year. Not particularly bothered which one is showing.

Did pass Bladon Chains club site 2 weeks ago and noticed they were still showing old signssurprised. Maybe they din't have enough to go around.

Hi MichaelIT

Good to hear - glad the new signs are getting more familiar and you agree that they are easy to spot. Bri - I'm sorry you don't agree.

We are aware there are several signs still not changed over and keep nudging the relevant people/ owners/ wardens!

Happy Autumn Touring all

Helen

The old signs are far more distinctive and wording far more visible both on club sites and cls

It beats me how you reckon green showed up better than white, JV, especially signs stuck in hedges.

I reckon it's a case of the brain searching out the old familiar.

I personally think it is because the new signs are very bland and lack the contrast of colours as the old ones. Have used/ visited about 10 sites since the change and have been lucky that I have not needed to look out for the signs as I knew where all the sites were.
