As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

Are  you saying the costs of running this website should oblige us to remain members?

Until you asked that question it wasn't something I'd considered, but actually I do feel there is a moral obligation to contribute to a service I'm using.

Put it this way if the Club was to announce that due to limited funding (because of Covid 19) they were closing this forum for the next few months I'd be devastated!!!

+1 CT, and of course the part of the site that far more members use that CT - the bookings for happier times, is one small (?) part of some bills the club has to pay.

There has been nothing offered by the  Club.........Not even  a recognition that members are being asked to pay, but receiving nothing in return

Our membership fee is due to renew at the beginning of June, were it not for the fact that we have CAMC caravan  cover, which requires membership, we would be suspending  membership meantime.

We  may even look elsewhere for caravan  cover and not renew meantime.

My pension has been affected due to currency fluctuations, down £100 per month on last year, so I am not feeling particularly charitable at the moment!

Nothing in return?

Again I would ask you what about the bills the club has to make while receiving no income from sites?

And the club is not a charity in return that has to fund your sad downturn in pension is it? Do you think it should?

But yes if something is not giving you VFM or is too expensive then do not buy it.

I think we still have such a long way to go with this crisis that even with the best intentions some will need to "draw their horns in " along the way.

I tend to agree too however it's not occurred to some non members to view it that way.

Everything at the moment is centred on a health crisis but there's a huge Economic crisis coming down the pipeline and there will be many a Pension Fund that is going to feel the pinch so I'm certain you won't be the only one Kj to have their pension squeezed.

Lots and lots of businesses are going to go under and this will inevitably have a real knock on effect.

I don't blame anyone who looks at their outgoings to try to make savings.
