At least they are trying

I have just read a review on a cc site in the West Midlands where the wardens have put up a" name& shame"board,as they are having trouble with speeding .I know this as I have recently returned from said site. The poster of the review has put that they think it's,and I quote "a bit pathetic" .That to me is an insult to the wardens,as they are at least attempting a positive reaction to an ongoing problem .Any views on this? .Rant over .

if the wardens had a little more time 'to warden', (you know, out there with customers) then they would be able to pick up on those who drive without the appropriate level of care for others...

not always easy from a tractor, toilet cubicle or office.....

i have a vague memory of seeing such a board at the gate on the CC site in Killin a few years back.

I think you only ended up on it if you had not heeded your first "warning"

Regardless of legality/accuracy/morality I'd have thought the deterrent effect would make it worth trying - just like those speed camera signs you see on so many roads these days! Worth a try anyway. Happy

Or when you are deliberately looking the other way.....

I think the way some of the posts on here have blown completley out of proportion, what Is a very good attempt to bring to the notice of others on site who for reasons only known to themselves, cannot just drive round the sites in first gear without touching the go faster pedal, which as mentioned on other threads, with a decent car maintains a speed of about 5mph,I think the staff should be congratulated for the initiative ,despite the attempts by some to yet again put out the usual negatives about wardens what ever they do

Anyone making an accusation may have to prove it and if CC Ltd has been complicit in a defamation they would be in the firing line as they have deep pockets.  In any event, as I said earlier driving with due care involves much more than just keeping to an arbitrary speed limit, e.g. the driver watching where he / she is going rather than gawping at pitches and their relative merits.

Now can anyone say just how many deaths, injuries and damage incidents have happened in the last 12 months or so.

...There was a post from some one staying on Brighton site a few weeks ago who witnesed damage being done by a "member"speedingWink
