Annual discount card for those who use CL's only

There are many customers who never use an all singing all dancing CMC site but really enjoy using CL's for their holidays. They are left with a dilemma of not paying  £51.00 at all and using the many fine private campsites in areas of outstanding beauty, which are available across the land.  -OR- Paying the £51.00 to subsidise the CMC sites which they will never use, just to get access to privately run CL's. So they opt for not paying anything to the CMC at all.

The positive solution is to have two annual rates. ----  £ 51.00 for those customers who use CMC campsites ---OR --- a simple registration fee of £10.00 to enable access to the private CL network for those who much prefer CL's.  There would be no losers as this would give customers a clear choice. ------------------  The CMC would still benefit from all those £10.00 fees and the CL's would benefit from the increased demand that this would bring.

A Win Win situation all round.

This enables you to get a discount over what normal caravanners pay on site who don't have a card.

I don't think many 'normal caravanners', without having a membership, generally use CC sites

I guess that I must be careful here, because the last time that I said that I only ever use CL's I was torn apart, and almost every word dissected and hidden meanings that weren't there suggested.

But actually I think that this is a classic case of "If it ain't broke don't fix it!   As I have already said somewhat treasonably to some, I think that as a whole package the CC (I will never use the new name) does a pretty good job.  I do make use of the foreign travel & booking service, I am insured by the CC's insurance co, and I have benefited in the past from Red Pennant.  So I am completely relaxed about paying my annual membership, even if I don't use club sites.

IMHO I love the flexibility of CL's and their low costs.  So I don't quite see DD's point but I'm sure that he has a perfectly valid one!

Carry on CC, but please get rid of that much derided new "Ice Cream advert " Logo.

Ice Cream logo is polite, I have seen it described as a pig's bottom elsewhere! Off topic, for which I apologise, but just thought I share the chuckles.......wink

We rarely use any sites, nor travel, nor insurance and scan the magazine for 10 minutes. Does that qualify for a 100% discount?
