Annual discount card for those who use CL's only

There are many customers who never use an all singing all dancing CMC site but really enjoy using CL's for their holidays. They are left with a dilemma of not paying  £51.00 at all and using the many fine private campsites in areas of outstanding beauty, which are available across the land.  -OR- Paying the £51.00 to subsidise the CMC sites which they will never use, just to get access to privately run CL's. So they opt for not paying anything to the CMC at all.

The positive solution is to have two annual rates. ----  £ 51.00 for those customers who use CMC campsites ---OR --- a simple registration fee of £10.00 to enable access to the private CL network for those who much prefer CL's.  There would be no losers as this would give customers a clear choice. ------------------  The CMC would still benefit from all those £10.00 fees and the CL's would benefit from the increased demand that this would bring.

A Win Win situation all round.

Yes,  It does give CMC customers a real choice.----- cmc full fat - OR -cmc Lite. Retail businesses which are successful, offer customers a choice of products. Why shouldn't the CMC do the same with their discount cards ?.

Has this fixation with "discount cards" replaced your former ones with "public lavatories" or "those in denial", I wonder, K? As far as catch phrases are concerned you're fast becoming the Bruce Forsyth of CT! laughing

I haven't got a discount card?

MT-- If you are a customer and pay your £51.00 per annum, you get a discount card. This enables you to get a discount over what normal caravanners pay on site who don't have a card.  It's easy, even a child at primary school would understand that. smile  --------------------------- Once again I have temporarily set aside my motto, but I thought you needed help and being a empathetic person, I was happy to do so in your case.

I only have one "discount card" or one that gives increased service from a provider via my caravan club membership and that is my Mayday "membership",

I do have some very good "discount" cards that were part of my two previose employments before i retired that are also  valid for my OH,all of which give us  much  better value for money than most for our Leisure timecool

There is perhaps an arguement to be made that it is a discount card for non member sites. However, how it is a discount card for those that are member only, or CL's? It is a requirement to be a member (pay for the card / join the club) to stay on them. Nothing about obtaining a discount on the cost of staying.
