We’d like to invite you to our brand new Facebook page – which is live today – a special preview for Club Together members. We will be using Facebook to spread the word about The Club, share news, offers advice and inspiration; it joins our other channels in offering you more choice in how you connect with The Club.

We want you to join our ever-growing community, so we’re offering an exclusive. We are giving away 20 pairs of site night vouchers for this week only. All you need to do is find our Club Together milestone on our Facebook timeline and comment with #sitenightvoucher.

Please remember that Facebook is a public forum, we want to showcase the best of The Club and our members, so don’t forget to check out our House Rules.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on our new social media channels, please comment on this thread and let us know what you think.

Prize draw closes at midnight on 13 August; visit Facebook for full terms and conditions.

Find us on >>> Facebook <<< today and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram @thecaravanclub

Whether people like Facebook or not is neither here nor there. It has to be recognised that it is a very important means of modern communication and a way of communicating with thousands of people who would otherwise turn their backs on traditional ways of communication. Should the Club ignore this just because a proportion of it members don't like, don't understand it or are even frightened of it? Of course it shouldn't, it needs to use every avenue possible to reach out to widest audience possible. I am surprised it has taken them son long!!!

It seems as though this topic, if run as an opinion poll, is definitely leaning towards No to FB

I am not so sure, I have just had a look on FB and so far, at  the moment, 131 people have liked the page so that they get CC posts on to their timeline. Winking

Edit : ( the CCC FB page which has been going much longer has over 60,000 followers )

..........and so am I David. But like a lot of things with the club they seem to spend an age on making a decision.

Like everything with technology those that don't, won't or can't will get left behind but will eventually pass on and so the problem won't exist.

I don't disagree David. It is just that I have no intention of ever using it. It is fine for those that like it. I must admit though, I do find it a little annoying that a few organisations have dropped email as a means of communication. They seem to be going the same way as CD's.

What the club should be doing is offering a level playing field to all it's paying members.

Otherwise, special offers etc will only be for those on the facebook site.

Oh, I see it has already begun.
