I agree it is down to the individual centre’s, actual the individual RO. But also you have to realistic about the real risk and the practicality a small centre might run 20 Rally’s a year our centre runs 100 hundred, so I wouldn’t want to be the single point of contact in that case. Although cheques are sent to the Rally organisers they are written to the centre not the individual. Cheques, are going to finish sometime, but their death has been delayed several times. There should be obvious alternatives but when you start researching them, they can quickly become relatively expensive, PayPal is an example of this. So anyone got any good suggestions please suggest away.

Posted on 14/01/2018 11:10 by BoffDon’t want to be rude. But most of the comments on here are theoretical. Mine are practical. So yes my name and address is published in our Rally brochure which has a limited distribution and no I don’t loose any sleep over it. If you worry that much security a caravan missing from the drive is going to be a much bigger hint than a name in a Rally book.

The caravan missing from the driveway is not always an indicator that the house is empty, in fact we have always had ours out front and in 31 years - yes, we have been burgled - once, and even then the house was NOT empty, even the dog was home. Our next door neighbours have also been burgled once (not at the same time) and they don't even have a caravan !
We have run many rallies over the years, prior to this digital age. Our address was always in the rally book which was only available on request by members but many centres would provide one if asked - sometimes without asking if you were a club member ! Addresses were generally NOT included on the website though as that is a whole different audience.
