Another great CAMC site

Gatwick Club Campsite
On arrival greeted by friendly warden. Site very quiet (except for the planes), showers and toilets spotless and to the usual high CAMC standard. Very small site probably busier in summer when grass pitches are also available and also has 2 storage areas. Planes do stop at night and after a couple of nights we didn’t notice them as much but had fun watching them take off and trying to guess the airline. We visited a couple of National Trust places nearby and had dinner at the nearby leisure park in Crawley. May return but have so many more sites to discover.

Interesting site

Gatwick Club Campsite
Our first visit here. Great welcome from friendly and helpful warden who gave us a site map and alot of helpful information. One reassurance given was that the noise of the jets taking off from the nearby airport stops overnight. You will definitely notice the aircraft but for us it was strangely interesting to watch the planes taking off. Their noise soon becomes easy enough to ignore. The site itself was immaculate on our visit. Washrooms, toilets, pitches, grass areas, rubbish and recycling all perfect. Thank you to the wardens and their hard work keeping the site so lovely. We had a peaceful night and slept well. A great base to explore the area of Crawley and surrounding attractions. We would recommend this site especially if you are a plane spotter!

Perfect spot for work

Gatwick Club Campsite
I was recently working in Gatwick and with the price of hotels in the area, decided to bring my caravan down instead. The site was less than 10 minutes drive to Crawley where I was working, a perfect location. The site is at the end of the runway and when I first arrived I thought I'd made a big mistake in coming, thinking I'll never sleep with the noise of the aircraft taking off. When the big ones went, my caravan actually shook. However, it's surprising how quickly I must have got used to it! The wardens were very friendly and helpful, especially when I was running late stuck on the M25, they called me to see where I was and reassured me it was all fine. The site is immaculate, everything is neat and well maintained. The wash block facilities were warm and very clean, and it was good to have an actual tap in the shower rather than a button. Having a hairdryer in there was useful too. This is the first time I'd stayed on my own in the van but I felt very safe, and the entry card and barrier system reassured me. The wardens were always around if I needed anything (I didn't, but it was nice to know). The week worked so well, I actually decided to leave the caravan there whilst I went home for a few days, and then I came back the following week for another few days work. I had to move the van to the temporary storage area on the other side of the site, which wasn't a problem, then I got the same pitch back on my return. Pitch 52 was very handy as it was close to the water point. It was a hardstanding pitch with plenty of room. Opposite were grass pitches and an area that had been left to grow which was very pretty with wildflowers. If I am down in the area again I would definitely use this site, it was so convenient, safe and well maintained, the wardens did a great job, and checked in with me to make sure everything was ok.

Spotless

Gatwick Club Campsite
Recently returned from a trip to the Gatwick site and what a lovely stay we had. All of the staff were very friendly and obliging. The site and facilities are spotless, the showers were really powerful, best we’ve experienced on any site! There’s a really good sized “free to roam” dog walk area which ours loved. Some areas of the site have been left free to grow for “No Mow May”, meaning plenty of wild flowers and grasses - really pretty! There’s a great sized camping area, and we even saw deer in the next field.. didn’t expect that being so close to the airport! Great site if you like to watch the planes, and if not you soon get used to the aircraft noise, we hardly noticed it by the end of our stay. Thank you to the team for all your hard work keeping the place so clean & tidy, we will be back!

Immaculate site

Gatwick Club Campsite
A lovely site…. Large pitches… really well kept, showers are powerful and spotless. Having travelled around many sites … this is one of the best. The team of wardens are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Great for plane spotting… Rail links to London are really good and large supermarkets are pretty close… takeaways can be delivered and there are some nice restaurants and pubs a short drive away. Will be back again
