Nearby Denham station takes you into Marylebone, with easy access to the underground system, stopping at Wembley Stadium, the venue for extensive sporting and music events.

Attractions within easy reach include the famously lovely Windsor Castle, Savill Garden in the Great Park, Beaconsfield (known for the Bekonscot Model Village), Henley-on-Thames, and Oxford with all the architectural splendours of its colleges. With plenty of rides and attractions, Legoland Windsor makes for a great fun family day out. For those who want to escape a little in tranquil surroundings, visit Cliveden (once the home of the Astors) or West Wycombe Park, both beautifully preserved by the National Trust. Some aircraft noise can be heard from the site.

Expensive Energy costs, not that cheaper as suggested

Wyatts Covert Club Campsite
Wyatts Covert is a well placed site, albeit next to an aerodrome, so the buzz of small planes and helicopters is present almost all day every day during daylight hours. It is perfectly situated just off the M40, and for my reason for staying, to be close to Harefield Hospital to be close to my loved one. The sites has exceptional wardens who are very helpful and friendly and keep the facilities and site to a superb standard. The site is a fully metered for EHU, and the website is still very confusing, after the second time of booking, stating the normal with or without awning pitches, but if you select a 'metered' pitch they are always all FULL, but you can select a non metered pitch and there is availability, yet there is only metered pitches on the site??!!?? The Metermacs web browser that you have to use is VERY slow to work and quite frustrating. It seems to be quite expensive too. I have been on the site for a week and a half and have used a full bottle of gas that was purchased for this trip (used for heating and cooking) and topped the electric up by £35. the heating is only on for an hour in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. So far for energy only, the total outlay has been £77 (£32 for a new gas bottle and £35 for electricity top up, £9 remaining as I type). The CAMC state that by using metered supplies, you only pay for what you use, fine, but it states that it allows them to offer lower pitch fees. When checking October dates, there is only £2 pitch cost per night between Wyatts Covert and Commons Wood. The expensive energy and faff from the barely responsive Metermacs web interface makes me question staying on here in future, which hopefully I will not need to. CAMC, please clarify on the website the pitch selection and if the metermacs solution is rolled out nationwide, might have to find another club to join.

Great site if you love planes and Helicopters

Wyatts Covert Club Campsite
A lovely little site in a quiet area all be it lots of planes and Helicopters (which I loved). The facilities are nice and clean and the site was very well kept. Some people have commented on the electric being a bit of a faff but we found it fine. If you pre-plan your trip and download the app, there should be no problem. It will only be a matter of time before all sites will have a system like this so if people get used to it now, there should be no problems in the future.

ELECTRICITY FAFF

Wyatts Covert Club Campsite
We arrived at Wyatts to a warm welcome from reception. We booked this site in order to visit the Harry Potter experience, and for this it was a perfect location. As always the site cleanliness and facilities were excellent. However, the noise from the adjacent airfield was extremely intrusive especially from the helicopters. Also, you have no choice but to use Metermacs on this site which proved much too slow to use. You cannot set it up until you actually know what pitch number you are going on! After a long tiring journey all you want to do is plug in and get set up. If electricity meter only has to be used on a site, then the pitch fee should be lower than we paid at over £30 a night. We would not choose to use a site again that had meter only pitches, and would seriously consider not using Caravan club sites if they switch to meter only pitches. With regards Road ahead closed sign, as mentioned in other reviews, a sign informing members that access to the site is still possible is needed.

Good site for access into London - only issue is still Metermacs

Wyatts Covert Club Campsite
We've stayed at this site before and it is well kept, clean, tidy and the wardens are friendly and helpful. There can be some noise from the small airfield across the road but given the proximity to the M40/M25 and London via Denham Station into Marylebone (22 mins if you catch the fast service), it is ideal if you are planning trips into London. There are also some nice Pubs and an Italian Restaurant in Denham which are reasonably priced given the location. My one issue remains to be Metermacs. I have no objection to paying for the electricity I use but the web interface is slow. This needs to be improved if this is to be rolled out across other sites (and would be better if an App were available). That said a refund was issued quickly once we left.

Excellent short stay for event at Wembley Stadium

Wyatts Covert Club Campsite
We stayed here at the end of July 2024 to make a trip for an event to Wembley Stadium. This is a perfect site to get both to Wembley and into central London. It's an easy 30 min off road walk to the station and then the trains are very frequent and take 10 mins and 20 mins respectively. They run late into the night too - just take a torch for the last half mile back, although there is a lot of parking at the station too. As for the site, it is great. It's next to a nature reserve so you really feel like you are in the country. Yes the small planes and helicopters at the air field next door during the day could be intrusive for some, but at night this was one of the quietest sites we've stayed at. There's loads of wildlife so we could hear owls and our first every bullfrog, and see bats swooping around. It was magical. The electricity trial worked no problem at all and the reception team have a really helpful QR code plus alternative means of accessing the website should you have any problem with your own device. The cost is incredibly reasonably - ok it was a warm weekend in July but we spent a grand total of 55 pence for the night on power and our refund came through no problem at all. The site is also incredibly easy to reach from the M40 and M25 and you are not aware at all of how close those major routes are. We've tried the other London sites and for convenience and access this is our favourite.
