Peaceful CL near Malvern

Hillview Stables
We arrived on Thursday 25th April for 3 nights to find Sophie exercising her horse. She welcomed us and after stabling the horse showed us the site. After a period of heavy rain they had only just had time to mow the field but thankfully it was dry on the day. There was only one other caravaner on site but they had taken up almost 3 pitches, aligning their caravan and car along the fence where the EHU’s are located. It’s so annoying when some campers think they own the site, not just renting a pitch. Anyway, we took pitch 1 by the entry gate which was reasonably flat and Sophie was kind enough to allow us to use the nearby tap with a double adapter directly to our barrel fitted with a float valve, so almost fully serviced. Grey and black water facilities are close by and a toilet for users of the CL and stables which is a real bonus. Views of the Malvern Hills from the CL are wonderful. The Three Counties Showground is within walking distance and a camping and caravan accessories shop at the nearby business park. We walked to Malvern Wells from the site and visited the former Priory ruins, now part of the local church snd walked in the southern Malvern Hills up to British Camp. There’s a café near the car park fir a welcome cuppa! On Saturday it rained heavily so we visited the lovely manor house at Brockhampton. A very nice CL and highly recommended.

Warm welcome

We enjoyed our stay on this site, particularly the hospitality from Will and Sophie. A very well maintained area and clean WC. Plenty of space and stunning views of the Malvern Hills. Easy accessible. Recommend the Swan at Hanley Swann for great food. Will is an exceptional young man. Do purchase his bacon and sausages, home reared and delicious.

Really good CL. Motorhome + electricity £20 per night. Very warm and helpful welcome from Will. Excellent facilities and a bonus having a show jumping event to wake up to on the Sunday. Really good area for walking and cycling.

Really helpful owner

Hillview Stables
We used this site as a stop over, on our way to Cornwall. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful. Great pub about a mile away with a lovely dog walking footpath to get there. The grass was wet so the owner found us a very cosy hard standing because our motorhome is not great on wet grass. Sadly we (and everybody else) were awake most of the night due to a loud high pitch whine from the nearby industrial estate. I don’t think the noise had ever been heard before, so just bad luck. Didn’t see much more than the pub as we left early, but we don’t blame the site at all. Just bad luck.

Lovely CL with great views

Hillview Stables
We stayed at this CL for 2 nights in July, as we wanted to walk the southern Malverns. We were welcomed by a very polite and knowledgeable young lad who gave us all the information we needed and even offered us a hose to fill up the van with water. The owner's family were also friendly, giving us a wave or cheery greeting as they passed by. The toilet was clean and tidy and the waste facilities well-maintained. The EHU points are all along one side of the field so you can go off-grid and pitch further away if you prefer. The field is nice and flat and well-drained. It was fun to watch all the horsey goings-on, with lessons in the little arena and ponies in the surrounding paddocks. We walked from the site to the hills every day - it's about 30 minutes to the start of the climb. We enjoyed our stay and would return again if we wanted to do more walking in the area.
