View and BookAt East View Farm CL you will receive a very warm welcome from Matt and Tara.
Our CL site is a little quiet haven but placed in a central location of the picturesque village of Laughterton, it is grass surface but sand based so good in all weather conditions, with lovely views over the golf course next door. It is quiet and tranquil but a short walk to amenities for a little life so suits people wanting to get away from it all as well as people wanting social interaction.
We are open to families and dogs provided they are on a lead (the dogs not the children) and we have horses, chickens, cats, two border collies and a disabled goose on site!
On our doorstep we have some lovely walks, including the nature trail along the River Trent, Millfield golf course just next door which has 2 x 18 hole courses and a 9 hole which is ideal for beginners, a further golf course at Torksey less than 2 miles away, fishing on the River Trent as well as some good local well stocked ponds within easy reach.
You can also enjoy some excellent food and drink at our local public house the Friendship Inn which is less than a hundred meters away from our drive. The pub serves value for money food and a selection of beverages etc, it is also family and dog friendly. There are also a number of other local pubs you can drive to in surrounding villages and a number of takeaway options.
There is a local village shop just a mile and half away which stocks basics supplies or a more substantial shop at Saxilby just a short drive away (6 miles).
There is a bus stop in the village where you can catch a bus into Gainsborough which is about 9 miles away and is home to Gainsborough Old Hall.
There is also a train station at Saxilby where you can catch a train to either Gainsborough or Lincoln City where you can visit the Lincoln City Cathedral or the Norman Castle which is just 11 miles away.
We are within easy reach of both Lincoln and Newark Showground and there is a plethora of things to do in the area and places to visit.
