Fooden Farm
lovely site and very friendly owner with well spaced out pitches , sites like this seem to be disappearing with people seeming to think a time away in the caravan must have electric and shower blocks to getaway . splendid site.

Fantastic hidden gem

Fooden Farm
Wow!! We stopped here with friends who had been before, The site had beautiful views and was very quiet. Access is by a track and the views are stunning. Would highly recommend if you want a weekend away from it all.

Chill out site no 1

Fooden Farm
Access is best via Sawley Abbey as the other way from Gisburn is more twisty/narrow/potholed. Take your time as milk tankers use this narrow route. Beware the tight bend at the Spread Eagle pub and narrow right over the bridge soon after. Little tea shop in Bolton by bowland sells nice cakes and ice lollies. Carboot on Sunday's in Clitheroe worth a visit signposted from A59. The site entrance itself is almost hidden so take your time. Track leading up to the field a little rough but nothing major. Turn left after cattle grid for CL. Best view of Pendle Hill in front of you. Most seem to pitch side on with your door facing the fence or at an angle to capture that spectacular view. Basic water, bins and chemical closet near the entrance. Use your own facilities. Farmhouse is further down the hill towards the river. We had the Beatherder festival on across the valley for the 2 nights we visited. Not that noisy and we got a fantastic fireworks display for free too! Most scenic area on the edge of the trough of bowland. Clitheroe Castle good to visit. Dog walks in the fields or as we found the cooler woodland walks were ideal for the scorching July heat. Deer and rabbits seen and is THE best place for a chill out.....and that view....did I mention the view......

Peaceful CL

Fooden Farm
We have only been going to this site for a few years, and have never had any problem with motocross bike noise. The views are amazing and we can spend most of the day just watching the wildlife, this last visit it was 2 woodpeckers enjoying the nuts in our bird feeder. The owners are lovely people and have always made us feel welcome. As said in other reviews there are some nice walks around and the Coach and Horses in the village has now opened, so an ideal stop off for a pint while enjoying your walk.

Fabulous views over unspoilt countryside

Fooden Farm
A shame the couple of motor cross meetings last year in 2016 spoilt one persons stay after they'd been enjoying this gem of a site for the last 10 years. There have been no more motor cross bikes riding at the neighbouring farm across the river since and probably won't be again. This CL site is in a great location tooked away enjoying a peaceful and tranquil setting with some lovely walks down to the river or the nearby picturesque village of Bolton by Bowland where you will find the village shop/tearoom and our newly opened completely renovated village pub The Coach & Horses with its own micro brewery and great menu which is already receiving amazing reviews, just out of the village is Holden Clough Garden Centre with The Garden Kitchen restaurant another must visit.
