A lovely rural spot in Hampshire, Fleet offers a fabulous combination of history, heritage and charm.

For a bit of nature and tranquility, head to Fleet Pond. Surrounded by reedy marshland and lightly wooded areas, it's a pretty spot perfect for a quiet walk and picnics. You might even spot some ponies grazing near the water's edge.

Another lovely spot for a walk is along the Basingstoke Canal, which runs right through the town. Spot canal boats, stop for a drink in a canalside pub or do a bit of bird watching.

Fleet is also a great base for exploring the surrounding Hampshire countryside. Nearby attractions include Odiham Castle, West Green House and Caesar's Camp, an Iron-age hill fort.
