Why stay here ...

Our site is situated off a quiet lane on the edge of Shapwick with far reaching views. We are a busy family farm on the National Trust's Kingston Lacy Estate halfway between Blandford Forum and Wimborne Minster on the edge of Cranborne Chase AONB.

We are surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes with Badbury Rings to the north and the Stour Valley Way running through the farm to the south.

The beautiful Norman church of St Bartholomew sits beside the river and the village boasts an award winning pub and a game butchers shop. We are within easy drives of the Purbecks, The New Forest, Bournemouth, Poole and Dorchester.

A fabulous location

What a beautiful, peaceful location, within easy walking distance of Badbury Rings, Kingston Lacy and White Mill (all National Trust). Lovely level site, which, despite very heavy rain in the days before we arrived, was fine to pitch on. We were made to feel very welcome, and really enjoyed... Show more

What a peaceful site

We had a terrible drive to the site on Wed 25th Sept in all the rain, but on arrival the sun came out long enough to set the caravan up and Jan was there to greet us. We had expected the site to be muddy as the rain didn't stop... Show more

Great CL site

We always come to Dorset as we used to own a static caravan near but due to costs we sold it so last year we missed coming to this part of Dorset. We searched for camp sites to bring the tourer then I stumbled across this CL site and so... Show more

Just the type of CL we love.

Very easy to locate with lovely views out over the fields. It is a working farm, so there is as expected some farm noise. Flat open grass site, with water, power etc as per any good CL. Nothing is too much bother for the owner, who does not intrude, but... Show more

Just why we love CLs

What a find! Short notice golf trip for 3 nights and found this CL mid-way between the two courses we played. Just a perfect CL and one we will definitely be back to. Jan turned up as we arrived, explained everything and left us alone, but on hand in the... Show more
