Curlew Farm CL review By The White's

Curlew Farm
Friday 12th - Sun 14th July 2024. We have just returned from a lovely 2 night Stay at Curlew Farm on Trinity Hill,Axminster. We arrived after a easy trip and great directions with easy access to the site with our 8ft wide Twin axle Caravan. As our eldest boy had a football match in Lyme regis(perfect and only 8 mins away) We arrived and was able to choose which pitch we wanted to stay at with EHU with beautiful views of the sea and countryside absolutely stunning.Once set up the sun was shining so out came the Chairs to enjoy a nice cuppa and Relax.(We love going to CL sites) We had a lovely welcome from Owner Jackie and she loved seeing a family of 4 and made our 2 children very welcome.Great location for Lyme Regis,Dorset area with Honiton and Exeter also close by and River cottage HQ,nice little cafe with stunning views 5 mins up the road. We really enjoyed this CL.Yes there is a country road behind field, this did not bother us and boys loved seeing all the tractors and milk tankers passing by. Also Was so lovely to be on site with some lovely fellow Campers. Highly Recommend this CL. Plenty of space for boys to play and enjoy the outside.

Peaceful CL close to Lyme Regis

Curlew Farm
Ideally placed CL for Lyme Regis. The owner came out to meet us, which is always nice. All grass pitches are along a hedge next to a long straight road - not busy, but vehicles travelling at speed were quite noisy. This didn’t really cause a problem and the site is really quiet in between. Fabulous sunsets.

Lovely stay

Curlew Farm
We have just stayed for 4 nights. The views are fabulous and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Pitches level , and access to the site is easy. Location is great for Lyme and the surrounding areas. If you are looking for the bare minimum of a well kept field and use your own facilities ( which suits us) and welcoming hosts, then try this little gem .

Curlew Farm
This is a great site with amazing views Jackie let us pick our pitch and there is loads of room between them so no noise from the other pitches. If you don't like the sound of baby lambs, calf's and farm animals this is not the site for you. The site is properly on one of the highest points around so you may need your storm straps for your awning as it can be gusty in April. We can't wait to go back at some point.
