Why stay here ...

Superbly located for walking the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site.

Very quiet sheltered site away from the 'hum drum' on a small holding.

The coastal towns of Lyme Regis and Seaton are within easy driving distance and Axminster (home of the carpet!) just seven miles away.

The site is Tucked away and well fenced for dogs and free range eggs are usually available. This site also offers 4G on site.

Why not take a day trip out to visit the Seaton Jurassic Centre which recently opened in March 2016.

We are in an excellent location for walking the South West Coast path through the unique environment of the Undercliffs.

Combpyne is only a few miles from the famous 'River Cottage' and 'Trill' farms, which hold many tempting events throughout the year.

The lovely coastal towns of Branscombe, Beer, Sidmouth and West Bay are within 20-25 minutes drive as is the bustling, historic town of Bridport with its antique markets.

For those who love wildlife there are opportunities to spot nightjars and fireflies as well as many other species in this rural area which includes rare heathland habitat. The night sky is a treat as there is little light pollution.

This area of East Devon and West Dorset is a real gem and well worth exploring. Please try mobile number or text me or preferably email me. If you leave a message I will call you back as soon as possible thank you.

Lovely quiet site

Rose Coombe Farm
Stayed here for 5 nights in June, nice sheltered site down a narrow road (we didn't meet anyone coming or going though). Parked up on the field side as this retained the sun more than the hedge side. Slightly sloping pitch, but borrowed some of Alison's blocks and we were fine. Easy access to the main road and bus routes. You can walk to Lyme Regis via the Viaduct and get the bus back, but we cycled both ways (electric bikes) as there are a few hills, especially down to the harbour in Lyme! Had a lovely day out on the Colyton-Seaton tram. Parked at Colyton station in the free railway carpark. Nice looking cafe here as many people were having breakfast as we caught the train. We bought the all day ticket and hopped on and off at all the stops to have a look around which was fun. Had some lovely fresh fish (Dab and mackerel) at Coast (orange umbrellas on the front at Seaton). BEWARE of the seaguls along this coast, as they were constantly swopping down and stealing your food and icecreams. To be honest it was a bit scary so we ate inside. We went to a local performance (Sharon Davies sycronised swimming) in Colyton Town Hall advertised locally so watch out for these as it was great and we even had food and drink supplied in the interval. There is an historic walk around Colyton every Thursday at 2pm (£7) and the local butchers is here as well. We visited Hugh's River Cottage but was unfortunately full and was too wet to sit outside, and Axminster Town Trail looked interesting but again was a bit wet.

Quiet Site in a Good Location

Rose Coombe Farm
We spent a week here in September, booking was easy and Alison was very helpful and advised the best route to the CL. The last half mile or so from the main road is a typical Devon lane, narrow with high hedges, so arrival after 1oclock is advised. Gateway into the site needs a bit of care but we got our 7+m van in without any problems. The site itself is a large grass field with a slight slope, levelling blocks required, the hooks ups are well spaced giving plenty of pitching options, there are 2 water taps on the hedge side. The cdp is screened off by the gate and was clean and easy to use. We found the site very quiet with only the occasional vehicle along the lane. The field behind the site can be used for dog walking. The site is midway between Seaton and Lyme Regis and so is well located for exploring East Devon and West Dorset. For Motorhomer's there is a bus stop at the junction of the lane and the main road. Alison sells eggs at the gate which were lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return to this CL. Thank you Alison.

Ideal Rural CL

Rose Coombe Farm
Pleasant 2 night stay at Rose Coombe Farm, slightly sloping field but short tidy grass with a closed gate and gravel entrance. The adjacent field was available for dog walks and due to zero light pollution the night skies were amazing. Very little passing traffic, well spaced EHU points, a couple of water taps and a good emptying point. Alison made us welcome, OS maps available and eggs for sale. Ideal location for visiting the busier coastal towns, would certainly recommend.
