View and BookEmmetts farm is located in beautiful East Devon (AONB) just on the Dorset border. The C.L. is situated on the side of the A3052 coast road that connects the seaside towns of Lyme Regis 5 miles to the East and Seaton 3 miles to the South. Both towns are gateway towns to the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
The C.L. is easily accessed from the main road. Pitches are spacious and level and have both hard standings and grass, each come with individual water and 16 amp hookups. The C.L. is part of a small 40 acre sheep farm that is on the side of a hill that mostly overlooks the stunning Axe Valley.
The C.l. is very quiet peaceful and ideal for just relaxing with stunning views on all sides. To the east is a mature ancient deciduous wood land. Views to the south and west look across mostly farmland and the meandering flood plain of the lower reaches of the river Axe with views all the way to Seaton and the coast. Further upstream you can watch the Seaton and Colyton electric tram travel back and forth alongside the river Axe passing the Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve. The tram travels daily between Seaton on the coast and goes inland as far as Colyton.
The nearest villages all within a two mile radius are Axmouth Colyford Musbury and Colyton. These are all lovely historic villages all steeped in local history and ideal for exploring. They all offer good food spoiling you for choice with pubs and restaurants.
There is a fenced fruit orchard ideal for walking well behaved dogs but please remember all Dogs on leads at all times please as its a sheep farm.
