Why stay here ...

Emmetts farm is located in beautiful East Devon (AONB) just on the Dorset border. The C.L. is situated on the side of the A3052 coast road that connects the seaside towns of Lyme Regis 5 miles to the East and Seaton 3 miles to the South. Both towns are gateway towns to the famous World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

The C.L. is easily accessed from the main road. Pitches are spacious and level and have both hard standings and grass, each come with individual water and 16 amp hookups. The C.L. is part of a small 40 acre sheep farm that is on the side of a hill that mostly overlooks the stunning Axe Valley.

The C.l. is very quiet peaceful and ideal for just relaxing with stunning views on all sides. To the east is a mature ancient deciduous wood land. Views to the south and west look across mostly farmland and the meandering flood plain of the lower reaches of the river Axe with views all the way to Seaton and the coast. Further upstream you can watch the Seaton and Colyton electric tram travel back and forth alongside the river Axe passing the Seaton Wetlands Nature Reserve. The tram travels daily between Seaton on the coast and goes inland as far as Colyton.

The nearest villages all within a two mile radius are Axmouth Colyford Musbury and Colyton. These are all lovely historic villages all steeped in local history and ideal for exploring. They all offer good food spoiling you for choice with pubs and restaurants.

There is a fenced fruit orchard ideal for walking well behaved dogs but please remember all Dogs on leads at all times please as its a sheep farm.

Fabulous site

Just spent 4 nights at this lovely site - very peaceful, clean and tidy and an excellent view. Owner Allan is a real gent, several visits to make sure all was well, offered info on the area, lives next to the site and is always available if you need him.... Show more

we'll be back!

Great CL, convenient for the Axe valley, Seaton, Sidmouth etc. Good access, large pitches with fresh water and metered EHU. Allan is friendly and helpful. Donkey Sanctuary close by well worth a visit, free to park & enter, great cafe.

Shame about my typos in previous review, blame Siri!

One of the drawbacks of using voice recognition software, but not re-checking what it’s written!!!

Outstanding in every respect

Just a brief three night stay to give us a break. What a great choice. We had checked out this site a couple of years ago but could not get in but aren’t we glad that we could on this occasion. The location is just about as perfect as it... Show more

Nice Little Gem

We have just returned from a four night stay at Emmett’s Farm. This is a rural site with lovely views of the cliffs and sea at Seaton. The pitches are large and spacious and each pitch has a water tap, which is a bonus and electric meter, so... Show more

One of the best CLs we have stayed on.

We spent last week at this exceptional CL with a pitch overlooking the Axe valley. Although access is very easy off a main A-road, there was very little traffic noise because of the clever way the CL has been landscaped. The CL is divided into two levels with very... Show more

Lovely little site

Stayed over New Year for a few nights. Cracking little site, really clean and tidy, massive pitches. View into the valley is amazing, really peaceful and Allan was really friendly and welcoming. Let us arrive early and leave late as there was nobody on the pitch before or after. Actual... Show more

Really Great Site

Just returned from 10 nights at this CL. Huge pitches with electric and water. Some had drains for grey waste. The chemical waste disposal was under cover and spotless. The owner Allan was very laid back and a most interesting person. Our golden retriever enjoyed the huge well kept orchard... Show more
